We offer a variety of dance styles, including tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, musical theater, and strength-based conditioning classes. Each class focuses on developing technique, coordination, flexibility, and performance quality—while keeping the joy of dance at the center of everything we do. Join the perfect dance class at Spotlight Dance Academy, specially designed for actors who can move and want to feel even more confident in various dance styles! Build strength, flexibility, and control through ballet- and jazz-inspired exercises tailored specifically for performers. You’ll enhance your quality of movement, improve technique, and learn practical tips and tricks to help you feel strong and confident in your dancing—just in time for your next show!

Beginner Tap Dance

Learn to tap dance at Spotlight Dance Academy! For the beginner young tapper, we will explore the basics of tap dance, including terminology and musicality. Tap dance is one of the many dance styles offered and is great for kids to develop gross and fine motor skills, rhythms, and overall body control. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement, and Oxford style tap shoes are preferred. Join us for our exciting summer camps to discover the joy of dance!

Beginner/Intermediate Tap Dance

Tap dancing is a fantastic skill for any theatre performer! Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, come to the Spotlight Dance Academy to 'brush' up on your tapping! This 6-week class will cover the basics of tap dance, including terminology and some fascinating tap dance history. The session will focus on Broadway style tap dance steps and combinations, making it a perfect introduction to various dance styles. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement, and Oxford style tap shoes are preferred. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity, especially if you're considering summer camps!

Musical Theatre Dance

Beginner/Intermediate Tap Dance

For the strong mover, this class at Spotlight Dance Academy will focus on various dance styles, including jazz dance, emphasizing movement, style, technique, and musicality. With a strong emphasis on dance terminology, this class will help our performers gain confidence in choreography and express themselves through storytelling in movement. Participants will work on character development and conveying emotion through music and movement. Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in, along with sneakers or jazz shoes.
