Discover Dance at Spotlight Performing Arts Academy

At Spotlight Dance Academy, our dance program is tailored for performers of all experience levels who want to move, grow, and have fun. Whether your child is stepping into the studio for the first time or looking to build confidence for the stage, our recreational classes provide a supportive and encouraging environment.

We offer a variety of dance styles, including tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, musical theater, and strength-based conditioning classes. Each class focuses on developing technique, coordination, flexibility, and performance quality—while keeping the joy of dance at the center of everything we do. Additionally, we host summer camps that allow young dancers to further explore their passion in a fun and dynamic setting.

Beginner/Intermediate Hip Hop Dance

For the strong mover, this class at Spotlight Dance Academy will focus on various dance styles, including jazz dance, emphasizing movement, style, technique, and musicality. With a strong emphasis on dance terminology, this class will help our performers gain confidence in choreography and express themselves through storytelling in movement. Participants will work on character development and conveying emotion through music and movement. Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in, along with sneakers or jazz shoes.

Bring the energy and own the stage! Our Hip Hop class is packed with high-energy movement, fresh choreography, and fun combinations that build confidence, coordination, rhythm, and style. Dancers will learn age-appropriate hip hop technique while developing musicality, stage presence, and performance quality in a supportive and encouraging environment. Whether you’re stepping into your first class or ready to level up your skills, this class is all about having fun while growing as a performer. Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in and clean sneakers.
